What are sub-divisions of poetry and prose?
I do not need their kind .. Examples of their subdivisions are elegy, the drama and sonnets. Please! Answer me!
I'm not much of a prose person myself, but some my favorite style of poetry are: Sestina-A sestina consists of six six-line stanzas and an envoy of three lines. It makes no use of the chorus and generally is unrhymed. The rhyme is replaced with a fixed end of words, which requires these words at the end of each stanza the same, but arranged in different sequences in each stanza. Haiku-Year-form haiku in English has seventeen syllables on three lines in the pattern 5-7-5. The original form of Japan. Tanka Tanka-Year-form English thirty and syllables over five lines in the pattern 5-7-5-7-7. The form originated in Japan where it is considered the feminine form of haiku. Sonnet-The use iambic pentameter and usually consist of some popular variants rhymes, Shakespearean sonnet (abab cdcd efef GG), the Spenserian sonnet (ABAB BCBC cdcd ee), and the Italian sonnet (abba abba cdecde, or for the sextet cdccdc). free verse poems are free to ", written without using strict meter or rhyme, but are still recognizable as poetry by virtue of complex patterns of one sort or another "- from Wikipedia
