Life can be a balance between seeking for stability and excitement. Balance is a fast-speed cycle where excitement reflects your love for life, as well as the power of your independence. This epicurian way of living is in all its aspects a signature and the manifest of a free soul. It is a path which stays far from people’s threatful ignorance and goes where ever your heart is leading it to.
Then you show a need for emotional stability when you realize that a life based on excitement doesn’t go in favor of stability. Stability results in replacing an impulsive lifestyle by more controlled interactions with others. It is an aspiration where you act and give according to the peace that will be brought back to you. It is a state of ataraxia where your main source of pleasure results in the stability of your heart.
We can easily misunderstand stability with same/constant and excitement with new/change. But stability is the only change which can exist since it is an alternative to people’s common day-after-day life. Stability is the hardest thing to have in nowadays changing times where people pretend only being happy if changing continually their relationships and are never constant. Being constant is the change which makes you entirely in control of your life. Balance is a life where the freedom of its pureness reflects the beauty of your entire being.
Constancy is personal and can only depend on ourselves. World is inconstant, so relying your stability on people is not compatible. Do not blame the world to let you fall down, since he never showed any sign which could let you believe that he would pick you up. Break your nose once and if you need to be warned, but don’t leave it your life. Nevertheless, your stability will be re-enforced by stable people, as long as you are stable yourself.
Having your life under questions because of the actions of a friend or somebody you love is a nightmare. It becomes an everlasting fall where you desperately try to find a branch to hold on, since the answers you are looking for are so unreachable and your thoughts are so confused, that you forget the time which is passing by you. Thinking of what isn’t under your control doesn’t annihilate your distress, but has the opposite effect by re-enforcing its existence. It makes you emotionally weaker and weaker, as a parasite consuming your thoughts and soul.
