Rap and hip hop: Some questions?
1) Who killed this sh*t the most?

2) Buy or Sell: ^^^^ That would be a sick supergroup
3) Anybody else a fan of Krohme’s work?
4) Album with the craziest tracklist? (not producer showcase album)
5) Did anybody else start to get bored by Slaughterhouse?
6) In my last question I asked if rappers using homophones bothers anybody, well does a rapper using a word that contains a word they just said bother anybody? For example, in Poetry, Freddie Foxxx says “I’m the word in your dialect that’s hard to define, like unity, no man gets immunity.” Immunity contains the word unity. I can’t be the only person who gets bothered by this, right? RIGHT?!
7) For those who favor production to lyrics, are there any exceptions? And likewise for fans of lyrics over production, any exceptions?
1- Cosign Morbid, but they all came hard on that one. I just wish their verses were longer.
2- Hell yeah! I’m a big fan of all of them.
3- Yeah, Krohme is nice. I’ve only heard “The Beasts Released Vol. 1: South Of Heaven,” and it was dope. The guest appearances were crazy! I’ve been meaning to check out his other releases for a while now but haven’t gotten around to it.
4- First one’s that come to mind are JMT’s “Violent By Design” and Big L’s “The Big Picture.”
5- Yeah. It’s what I expected, and I thought it was pretty good lyrically, but what’s up with the beat selection!? None of these guys were successful as mainstream artists, and yet they tried to make it more mainstream than anything any of them have released in their solo careers. It didn’t make sense to me, and I don’t think they realize what their fanbase is like, because I think most fans were disappointed. If they had better production, I honestly think it would have been one of the Top 5 releases this year.
6- LMAO! It doesn’t really bother me as long as they’re clever with it or the second to last word in each line rhymes too. Cam’ron is notorious for doing that or even using the same exact word twice and sometimes three or four times, but it never really bothered me, as long as it’s something funny or has a deep meaning but it’s usually a sign of a rapper getting lazy.
7- I used to prefer lyrics over production when I was younger and my exception back then was Nine. He never really impressed me lyrically, but his voice over dope production made him worth listening to, and I loved both of his albums. Over the last decade, I’ve been more into production, and I’ve had a lot of exceptions which include all 4 Horsemen’s solo careers. They’ve had a few albums that had decent production, but it’s usually below average, and I still listen to them because of their lyrics.
