How do you start off a poetry analysis paper?

I’m starting to work on mine, but I don’t know how exactly to start. It would be boring to start with a topic sentence or the thesis. Would a quote be good?

You could start with what you think is the most important quote in the poem, or one which sums up your argument about it. You could also start it with a quote from one of the critics or analysts you intend to use in your paper.
