A First Time Sketch… Good or bad?
I sketched a header image for my emo-poetry blog – It is supposed to represent my poem “Lovers Never Die (Alone)” the idea behind which is “Two lovers commit suicide together on the ropes where they spent their fun times together, they made nooses from the two ropes of the swing” I did it in my notepad, as you will see, i did this to try and add that real emo image in there, emotional, doodling, living in a world of their own. I used warm lighting also, to make the photograph of the sketch look like it is left on a desk, open, and left alone, to signify the passing of the two lovers.”
I really want to know what you guys think, this is my first attempt at art to accompany my poetry… Fail? Success? Needs some work but getting there? Other? Really wanna know what you think.
www.ThisBrokenSilence.com – remember, its the header image with the title written across it!
It is good! Different people have different sketching styles, and yours really works well! Just honestly keep practicing that is what I do, and I have gotten 2 awards for drawings I have done! For your first sketch, you definitely have potential leaking from your fingertips, haha(:
